The minute we saw Carter Lane we knew it had tons of potential and that it was perfect for our growing serviced office brand, The Boutique Workplace company
Seeing the possibilities
The space hadn’t been refurbished in some time and it needed attention, but we could see scope for lots of exciting plans. It’s just a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral and has light around three sides and so with a well-considered transformation we knew it would appeal to the professional market.
Avoiding the obvious
We decided to go for a refurbishment plan that would perhaps look more at home somewhere like Shoreditch rather than the typical traditional city style workspace, to bring a slightly different and more contemporary offering to the area.
Getting the details right
We transformed the space - from dreary suspended ceilings and raised floors - into a light, stylish space with exposed pipework, modern furniture and creative feature walls. We go out of our way to ensure the details are just right even if it means more challenges with the Planning Office.
A flexible space with lots of cool meeting areas
Along with a choice of flexible workspace areas from offices for small entrepreneurial businesses to larger corporate organisations, there’s a choice of meeting rooms ranging from formal meeting spaces to a vibrant business lounge, complete with its own bar. Our roof terrace with its spectacular view of St Paul’s Cathedral is one of our favourite parts of the building, offering our tenants as space to socialise and entertain clients.
A success before the refurbishment was complete
We created a 3D fly-through animation to show potential tenants our vision while the works were taking place and managed to pre-let 85% of the space before the work was finished.
