The vision
We could see the potential to transform this neglected 60s retail centre into a radically different experience. One that would not only attract a much bigger audience, but also regenerate and inject life into the extended surrounding area.
Collaboration was key
We formed really strong relationships with Reading Borough Council, Thames Valley Police and Reading Licensing, taking on board their objectives and ideas.
Phase 1.
Transforming the retail space and regaining retailer confidence
A huge transformation
The dated retail centre has been transformed into a modern, stylish outlet with lots of light and contemporary features. Tenants who once considered leaving, renewed their agreements. Plus it immediately attracted many new brands and interested parties.
Phase 2.
Developing the immediate surrounding area and helping to turn it into a cultural hub - where people work, shop, have fun, and meet friends.
Regenerating the Hexagon Quarter
Every area of the Hexagon Quarter has been carefully considered to transform this into an attractive destination that the local community can feel proud of.
Committed to making this a success
Our success to date in bringing these plans to life is down to our mission to re-think the traditional retail offering and come up with ideas that the whole community can get behind. We’ve also made a significant investment in this scheme and are committed to making it work.
“Phoenix Group are been privileged to have been the chosen soft service provider at Readings Broad street mall for over a decade .
